Based on an early 20th-century kpoikpoi, or prestige hanging, in The Met collection, the design draws from the original��s graphic blocks and layered composition, translated here in two woven panels, then joined with wef igir (��bird��s foot��) stitching��a nod to longstanding techniques of assembly and ornamentation.
Handspun, hand-dyed, and handwoven in Ethiopia, this piece carries the vibrant spirit of the Kpoikpoi Throw in a more compact form. Bold yet refined, it��s an invitation to infuse everyday rituals with color, heritage, and joy.
